**KARIMNAGAR, May 5, 2025** – Mild tremors shook parts of the integrated Karimnagar district on Monday evening around 6:45 pm, causing alarm among residents. Reports indicate that the shaking, accompanied by a loud sound, lasted for a few seconds. Residents in Karimnagar town, as well as those in the surrounding districts of Sicilla, Jagtial, and Peddapalli, reported feeling the tremors. Initial speculation pointed towards blasting at nearby granite quarries, but the distinct sound and noticeable building vibrations led residents to believe it was an earthquake. Following the tremors, residents emerged from their homes, visibly shaken but unharmed. No damage has been reported at this time.
