**Sivaganga, Tamil Nadu, May 5, 2025** – A tragic road accident near Poovanthi in Sivaganga district claimed the lives of a father and his three-year-old daughter on Sunday. Ponraj (27), who had recently returned from overseas for a vacation, his wife Prathiba (25), and their daughter Anushiya were traveling on a two-wheeler when they were struck by a speeding car.

Ponraj and Anushiya died at the scene. Prathiba was rushed to Government Rajaji Hospital in Madurai for treatment. Poovanthi police have initiated an investigation into the incident and registered a case. The driver of the car is yet to be identified.
