Mon May 05 10:44:32 UTC 2025: ## BJP Concludes Anti-Congress Rally in Karnataka with Hubballi Event

**Hubballi, Karnataka, May 5, 2025** – The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) concluded its “Janakrosha Yatra” (People’s Anger Rally) today, a month-long protest against the Congress government in Karnataka. The rally, which began in Mysuru on April 7th, culminated in a mega rally in Hubballi, attracting BJP leaders and central ministers. The BJP targeted the Congress government over issues of rising prices, alleged misappropriation of funds earmarked for welfare schemes, and accusations of “Muslim appeasement.”

Opposition Whip N. Ravikumar stated that the yatra, while concluding formally in Hubballi, signifies an ongoing battle against the Congress government. He cited a significant increase in the prices of approximately 50 goods and services since the Congress took power, alleging that the government is prioritizing appeasement of the Muslim community at the expense of development and neglecting the needs of farmers and Dalits. Ravikumar further accused the government of failing to maintain law and order, and of fostering a climate conducive to terrorism.

Deputy Leader of the Opposition Arvind Bellad echoed these sentiments, claiming that all development work has stalled under the Congress government, with no new tenders issued in his constituency. He highlighted the large turnouts at the rallies as evidence of public discontent. Both BJP leaders accused the Congress government of blaming the central government for delays in sanctioned projects, claiming that the state government hasn’t fulfilled its responsibilities in initiating work and utilizing funds. The BJP plans to continue its fight against the Congress government, using the momentum generated by the Janakrosha Yatra.
