Mon May 05 12:40:00 UTC 2025: ## Gujarat Board Announces Record-High Pass Percentage for Class 12 Science Exams

**Gandhinagar, Gujarat –** The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) today announced the results for the 2025 HSC (Class 12) examinations, revealing a record-high pass percentage of 93.07% for science and general streams. This surpasses last year’s 91.93% and represents a significant improvement in student performance. The results, including those for the Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET), were released at 10:30 am on the official GSEB website, gseb.org.

A total of 1,11,384 students registered for the Class 12 Science stream exams, with students able to access their results using their roll number and seat number on the website. An alternative method, via WhatsApp, allows students to receive their scores by texting their seat number to 6357300971. The overall number of students registered for the GSEB Class 10 and 12 exams was 14,28,175.

The exams for the Class 12 Science stream were held between February 27 and March 10, 2025, with practical exams concluding on February 6. Students needed a minimum of 33% in each subject and an overall aggregate of 33% to pass, along with a minimum grade of ‘D’ in all subjects. Original mark sheets will be distributed to schools in the coming days.

Last year’s science stream results showed a pass percentage of 82.45%, a considerable jump from 65.58% in 2023. In 2024, out of 1,30,650 students who appeared for the exam, 91,625 passed. Boys slightly outperformed girls, with pass percentages of 83.53% and 82.35% respectively.
