Sun May 04 17:17:33 UTC 2025: ## Kerala Doctor Dies After Anamalai Tiger Reserve Trek

**COIMBATORE, May 4, 2025** – A 26-year-old doctor from Kerala died of suspected dehydration and other complications after completing a trek in Tamil Nadu’s Anamalai Tiger Reserve (ATR) on Sunday. Ajzal A. Sain, a native of Thiruvananthapuram, reportedly ignored concerns from his guides about his fatigue during the trek.

Sain and a friend, accompanied by two experienced ATR guides, completed the challenging Top Slip – Pandaravarai – Karian Shola – Top Slip route. However, after finishing the trek, Sain’s condition deteriorated rapidly. He was rushed to a nearby government hospital in Vettaikaranpudur, where he was pronounced dead.

ATR authorities stated that Sain’s family has been informed and a complaint has been filed with the Anamalai police. A post-mortem examination is scheduled for Monday. The incident serves as a reminder of the potential dangers of strenuous activities, even for those in seemingly good health.
