Mon May 05 15:50:00 UTC 2025: ## Bengaluru to See Continued Showers, Then Partly Cloudy Skies

**Bengaluru, India (May 2, 2024)** – Bengaluru residents can expect a continuation of the recent rainy spell, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). Light showers and thundershowers are forecast to persist until at least May 6th, with temperatures hovering between a minimum of 21-22°C and a maximum of 34°C over the weekend.

While showers are likely to continue into early next week, the IMD predicts partly cloudy skies will dominate from May 6th onwards. Daytime highs will stabilize around 33°C. A slight chance of rain or thundershowers remains on May 4th and 5th, providing potential relief from the heat. However, there is an increased likelihood of rain or thundershowers on the evening and night of May 6th.

The IMD advises commuters and those attending outdoor events to plan accordingly during this period. From May 7th to 9th, the weather is expected to be calmer and drier, with partly cloudy conditions.

While Bengaluru’s forecast looks relatively stable, the IMD issued a broader warning for the month of May, predicting above-normal temperatures and an increased risk of heatwaves across various parts of India. Uneven rainfall distribution is also anticipated, with northern India expecting above-average rainfall while other regions, including the northwest, central, and northeast, may face drier-than-usual conditions.
