**Belagavi, Karnataka, May 4, 2025** – The Vande Bharat Express train connecting Bengaluru and Dharwad will soon be extended to Belagavi, according to a recent announcement. Belagavi MP Jagadish Shettar confirmed that Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has approved the expansion. The train will now depart from Belagavi in the morning, significantly improving connectivity for the region. This expansion follows a long-standing demand from local leaders, including Union Ministers Pralhad Joshi and V. Somanna, and Rajya Sabha Member Iranna Kadadi. Currently, the Vande Bharat operates between Dharwad and Bengaluru, departing Dharwad at 1:15 PM and arriving in Bengaluru at 7:45 PM. Belagavi already benefits from another Vande Bharat service connecting Pune and Hubballi.
