Sun May 04 08:10:00 UTC 2025: ## SNL Takes Aim at Trump’s “First 100 Days” in Hilarious Cold Open

**New York, NY** – Saturday Night Live’s cold open tackled President Donald Trump’s fictional first 100 days in office, featuring James Austin Johnson’s popular Trump impersonation and Mikey Day’s debut as Stephen Miller. The skit highlighted Trump’s alleged prolific signing of executive orders, satirizing their purported contents. Among the humorous decrees were a law allowing older men to date much younger women (“The Belichick Law,” referencing Bill Belichick’s relationship), simplifying the New York Times game “Connections,” and outlawing ghosts. The sketch concluded with Trump declaring a “historically long recess,” effectively renaming a recession. Marcello Hernandez reprised his role as Marco Rubio, adding to the political satire. Quinta Brunson hosted the episode, the penultimate of SNL’s 50th season. Walton Goggins and Scarlett Johansson will host the remaining two episodes.
