**Palakkad, Kerala – May 3, 2025** – Kerala Governor Rajendra Viswanath Arlekar paid a visit Saturday to the ancestral home of Chettur Sankaran Nair, the only Malayali to serve as national president of the Indian National Congress. The Governor toured the historic house in Mankara, near Palakkad, where Nair was born in 1857 and lived until age five. The house, previously closed, was prepared for the Governor’s visit. Speaking with Nair’s relatives, Governor Arlekar emphasized the importance of preserving and promoting the legacy of this significant historical figure.
