Sun May 04 14:41:43 UTC 2025: **Mangaluru, India (May 4, 2025) – Improved Passenger Comfort on Ernakulam-Pune Train Route**
Southern Railway announced that several express trains running between Ernakulam and Pune via Mangaluru Junction will be upgraded with Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) coaches starting in July. This upgrade, effective from July 5th-8th, will improve passenger comfort and safety.
The bi-weekly superfast express trains (Nos. 22150 and its pairing service) and the weekly Poorna Express trains (Nos. 11097 and 11098) will all receive the new LHB coaches. The change will also result in a revised coach composition, including an increase in AC and sleeper berths, and the addition of a Divyangjan-friendly coach.
