**Ramanathapuram, Tamil Nadu, May 5, 2025** – Over 1,700 aspiring medical students in Ramanathapuram district sat for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) on Sunday. Across five exam centers, 1,773 candidates out of 1,844 registered participated in the undergraduate medical and dental entrance exam. Similar scenes played out in neighboring districts.

In Dindigul, 2,902 out of 3,023 registered candidates took the exam at seven centers. Virudhunagar saw 2,878 students out of 3,012 registered candidates participate across six centers. District officials oversaw the examinations in all locations. The NEET exam determines eligibility for admission to undergraduate medical and dental programs across the country.
