Sun May 04 13:50:00 UTC 2025: **CRPF Dismisses Jawan for Marrying Pakistani Woman, Violating Security Protocols**

NEW DELHI: The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has dismissed constable Munir Ahmad of its 41st battalion for gross violation of security protocols. Ahmad secretly married a Pakistani woman, Meenal Khan, via video call on May 24th, 2024, and failed to disclose the marriage or his wife’s continued stay in India after her visa expired.

An internal CRPF investigation revealed that Ahmad not only concealed his marriage but also failed to report his wife’s extended stay in India, despite a government directive for all Pakistani nationals to leave the country following the Pulwama terror attack. Authorities deemed this a serious breach of service regulations and a significant threat to national security.

The CRPF took swift action, dismissing Ahmad with immediate effect. A spokesperson, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) M. Dinakaran, stated that Ahmad’s actions were deemed a violation of service conduct and detrimental to national security.

Khan’s visa expired on March 22nd, 2025, and she was scheduled for deportation on April 29th following the government directive. However, a last-minute court stay order prevented her deportation. The CRPF emphasized its zero-tolerance policy for such security breaches.
