Sat May 03 11:13:34 UTC 2025: ## Nationwide NEET Mock Drills Ensure Smooth Exam Conduct
**New Delhi, May 3, 2025** – Mock drills were conducted at all NEET-UG exam centers across India on Saturday to ensure a smooth and secure examination process on Sunday, May 4th. Over 22.7 lakh candidates are registered for the medical entrance exam, taking place at 5,453 centers in over 500 cities.
The Ministry of Education (MoE) implemented a three-tiered monitoring system for the exam, encompassing district, state, and center levels. Most centers are located in government and government-aided institutions.
The mock drills focused on testing the functionality of mobile signal jammers, ensuring sufficient personnel for security checks, and verifying biometric authentication procedures. These measures are in place following alleged irregularities and a paper leak in last year’s NEET exam.
The Ministry has warned that candidates found using unfair means will face penalties, including debarment from future NTA exams for up to three years and potential legal action under the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024.
