**THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, May 3, 2025** – The Kerala Secretariat Employees Association (KSEA), affiliated with the Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI(M)], is embroiled in an internal conflict following the reported removal of its general secretary, K.N. Ashok Kumar.

The decision was made during a general council meeting on Saturday, prompting Mr. Ashok Kumar and three other committee members to walk out in protest. According to KSEA president P. Honey, Mr. Ashok Kumar’s absence from official events in recent months prompted the executive committee to vote for his removal a week prior. The announcement at Saturday’s meeting resulted in the expulsion of all four dissenting members from both the executive committee and the general council.
