**Kannur, Kerala – May 3, 2025** – The first phase of a major upgrade to the Muzhappilangad-Dharmadam beach will be inaugurated this Sunday. Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will officially open the project at 10 a.m. The initiative, funded by the Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB) and executed by the Kerala Irrigation Infrastructure Development Corporation, aims to elevate the beach to international tourism standards while maintaining sustainability. Tourism and Public Works Minister P.A. Mohamed Riyas stated that the project will significantly boost tourism throughout the Malabar region.
