Sat May 03 04:10:00 UTC 2025: **Veteran Actress Chloë Sevigny Balances Motherhood and Iconic Career with New Film Releases**

NEW YORK – Acclaimed actress Chloë Sevigny is making a splash in theaters with two new independent films: “Magic Farm” and “Bonjour Tristesse.” While juggling motherhood and a busy career, Sevigny continues to work with both established and emerging filmmakers.

In “Bonjour Tristesse,” an adaptation of Françoise Sagan’s novel, Sevigny plays Anne, a sophisticated woman who disrupts the idyllic summer of a young girl. Sevigny revealed the role presented challenges, particularly navigating body image issues after childbirth. However, she embraced the character’s elegance and found inspiration in her own mother and friends.

“Magic Farm,” meanwhile, sees Sevigny as a documentary host in a comedic story involving a film crew’s unexpected misadventures in South America. The role came about after Sevigny interviewed the director, Amalia Ulman, for Filmmaker Magazine.

Beyond these current releases, Sevigny has several more projects on the horizon, including a role in the Sundance-winning “Atropia” and a collaboration with Luca Guadagnino in the upcoming thriller “After the Hunt,” starring Julia Roberts. She also playfully suggested reprising her role from “American Psycho” in a potential remake by Guadagnino, though nothing is confirmed.

Sevigny highlighted her commitment to supporting fellow women filmmakers, noting her involvement in multiple projects with first- and second-time directors. Despite a busy schedule, she prioritizes both her family and her passion for acting, proving her dedication to her craft.
