**Barcelona, Spain** – Hungarian tennis player Dalma Galfi secured a dominant victory over Australian Kimberly Birrell, the No. 4 seed, at the Catalonia Open on Wednesday. Galfi, ranked No. 121, dispatched Birrell 6-2, 6-1 in a commanding performance. This win follows her previous round victory against China’s Xiyu Wang. Birrell, ranked No. 61, had previously defeated Canadian Bianca Andreescu.

Galfi will now face the winner of the upcoming match between Russian No. 8 seed Kamilla Rakhimova and Spaniard Guiomar Maristany Zuleta De Reales in the quarter-finals.
