**Barcelona, Spain –** Hungary’s Dalma Galfi stormed into the final of the Catalonia Open after a dominant 6-3, 6-1 victory over Russia’s Oksana Selekhmeteva on Friday. The world No. 121 showcased impressive form throughout the tournament, previously defeating Xiyu Wang, Kimberly Birrell (No. 4 seed), and Guiomar Maristany Zuleta De Reales en route to the semifinals.
Selekhmeteva, ranked No. 161, also had a strong run to the semifinals, defeating Louisa Chirico, Lulu Sun (No. 2 seed), and Aliona Bolsova. However, she proved no match for Galfi’s powerful game.
Galfi will now face the winner of Saturday’s match between Aliaksandra Sasnovich (Belarus) and Rebeka Masarova (Switzerland) in the final.
