Sat May 03 07:30:00 UTC 2025: ## India’s Response to Pulwama-like Attack Leaves Pakistan on Edge
**Srinagar, India/Rawalpindi, Pakistan** – Following a recent terrorist attack in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir, that claimed the lives of 26 innocent civilians, India has vowed a strong response, leaving Pakistan’s military on high alert. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given the Indian armed forces complete operational freedom, sparking concern in Pakistan.
Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, General Asim Munir, convened an emergency meeting of corps commanders at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi. While the subsequent statement reiterated Pakistan’s condemnation of attacks on its sovereignty and declared its military’s readiness, it also leveled accusations against India.
Pakistan alleges that India exploits every crisis for political and military gain, citing the revocation of Article 370 in Kashmir following the 2019 Pulwama attack as an example. They further claim India intends to use the recent attack as a pretext to escalate tensions regarding the Indus Waters Treaty.
These accusations come from a nation widely regarded as a breeding ground for terrorism. India’s policy of targeting terrorism at its source is clearly causing unease in Pakistan. Despite General Munir’s pronouncements of military preparedness, Pakistan faces internal challenges including economic instability and public discontent, undermining its claims of strength.
