**Hyderabad, [Date of Publication]** – The Telangana government will issue Secondary School Certificate (SSC) results for the March 2025 examinations shortly, awarding students both marks and grades, a significant departure from previous years. The Education Department, in an order issued Saturday by Secretary Dr. Yogita Rana, confirmed that certificates will display subject-wise internal, external, and total marks, along with individual subject results and the final result. Grades will also be awarded for co-curricular activities. However, traditional class rankings (first, second, third) will be absent; the certificate will simply indicate whether the student passed.
This move reverses the previous decision to scrap the grading system and return to a purely marks-based system. While internal assessments were initially scrapped, they have been reinstated for the 2024-25 academic year, given that schools had already completed three internal assessments before the earlier decision was reversed. The final certificate format reflects the recommendations of an expert committee.
Over 509,403 students (258,895 boys and 250,508 girls) sat for the examinations held from March 21st to April 4th. The announcement of the results is imminent.
