**Los Angeles, CA** – Stampede Entertainment, the production company behind the 1990 cult classic *Tremors*, has announced it is developing a sequel to the monster horror film. The company is exploring various concepts, including a potential return to the town of Perfection and the possible return of Kevin Bacon as the iconic Val McKee. However, Stampede emphasizes that no decisions are final and a remake or adaptation of an earlier unused script is not planned.
The original *Tremors*, starring Bacon, Fred Ward, Finn Carter, and Reba McEntire, followed the residents of a small Arizona town battling giant underground worms. It achieved cult status and spawned several sequels. A short-lived television series, also titled *Tremors*, aired on Sci-Fi in 2003 and is currently streaming on Tubi.
Rumors of a Netflix series featuring Bacon’s return have been debunked as false. While a new Tremors installment is underway, there is no current involvement from Netflix. Fans can currently stream the original *Tremors* on AMC+ and rent or buy it on Amazon Prime Video.
