Tue Apr 29 09:08:39 UTC 2025: ## BJP Accuses Congress of Inciting Violence Against Modi After Controversial Social Media Post

**New Delhi, April 29, 2025** – The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) strongly condemned a Congress social media post on Tuesday, accusing the opposition party of inciting violence against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The post, depicting Modi as “missing” using an image that the BJP interpreted as referencing the phrase “sar tan se juda” (head separated from body), sparked outrage.

BJP IT head Amit Malviya denounced the image as a “dog whistle” aimed at the Muslim vote bank, alleging it was a veiled threat against the Prime Minister. He further criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for allegedly instigating violence against Modi on multiple occasions. Malviya countered that the Congress itself is “headless,” lacking direction.

BJP national spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari escalated the accusations, claiming the Congress is taking orders from Pakistan, citing a former Pakistani minister’s mention of the Congress’ social media post. Bhandari alleged the Congress’ actions demonstrate a collaboration with Pakistan, highlighting the party’s internal contradictions regarding unity and dialogues with Pakistan.

The escalating war of words follows a recent terror attack in Pahalgam. While initially presenting a united front, the BJP and Congress have now resumed their attacks, with the BJP highlighting controversial statements by several Congress leaders. The Congress, in return, criticized Modi for attending a public meeting in Bihar instead of an all-party meeting following the attack. The timing of the Bihar event, linked to upcoming state elections, further fueled the opposition’s criticism.
