Sun Apr 27 19:28:59 UTC 2025: ## RSF Accused of Mass Execution in Sudan: At Least 31 Killed, Including Children

**Khartoum, Sudan** – The Sudan Doctors Network (SDN) has accused the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) of committing a war crime, alleging the summary execution of at least 31 people, including children, in Omdurman, Khartoum’s twin city. The killings, reportedly the largest documented mass killing in the region, occurred in the Al-Salha area. Victims were allegedly accused of affiliation with the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF).

Graphic videos circulating on social media appear to show individuals in RSF uniforms shooting civilians. The SDN identified the victims as belonging to the Barra brigade, fighting alongside the SAF. The group called for urgent international intervention, urging the creation of safe passage for remaining civilians trapped in Al-Salha.

The RSF has yet to comment on the allegations. The Sudanese Armed Forces and government have also remained silent. This incident comes amidst the ongoing brutal civil war between the RSF and the SAF, which began on April 15, 2023. The conflict has already resulted in a devastating humanitarian crisis, with estimates of over 20,000 deaths and 15 million displaced people according to UN and local authorities. However, other estimates place the death toll significantly higher, at around 130,000. The fighting continues in various areas of Khartoum, with both sides engaged in fierce battles for control of territory. The SDN’s accusations highlight the escalating violence and the dire humanitarian situation in Sudan.
