Mon Apr 28 15:54:35 UTC 2025: ## Thiruvananthapuram Corporation Launches Mayor’s Helpdesk to Improve Service Delivery

**THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, April 28, 2025** – The Thiruvananthapuram Corporation announced the launch of a new Mayor’s helpdesk aimed at streamlining service delivery for city residents. Opening in the first week of May, the helpdesk, located near the main office entrance, will serve as the first point of contact for visitors.

The initiative addresses challenges faced by citizens, particularly senior citizens, in navigating the digital K-Smart platform for accessing municipal services. While the platform was implemented last year, many residents unfamiliar with technology have relied on Akshaya centers for assistance. The helpdesk will provide on-site guidance and support.

Ten officials will staff the helpdesk, assisting visitors with their queries and directing them to the appropriate departments. The helpdesk complements the existing Janasevana Kendram and the mayor’s cell, which handles complaints and requests. The ₹41.14 lakh helpdesk was furnished and built under the Smart City project. Mayor Arya Rajendran stated that the helpdesk aims to provide “the best quality of service at the shortest time possible.”
