**Deerfield, WI** – Beverly A. Dahl, a longtime Deerfield resident and pillar of the community, passed away peacefully on April 23rd at University Hospital at the age of 86, surrounded by her family. Dahl, born in Sauk County, Wisconsin in 1939, moved to Deerfield at the age of nine and graduated from Deerfield High School with honors in 1957.
Known for her kindness and generosity, Dahl dedicated 35 years to working for the State of Wisconsin and volunteered extensively in the community. She served as a poll worker for 20 years alongside her husband, Norman “Pogo” Dahl, and was a co-founder and long-time secretary of the Deerfield Historical Society. She also volunteered her time serving lunches at church funerals.
Beyond her community involvement, Dahl was remembered for her love of family, antiquing, and her exceptional cooking, particularly her famous potato salad. She and her husband enjoyed extensive travels across the country and to Guatemala.
Dahl is survived by her husband, Pogo; sons Curt and Eric; grandson Norman; granddaughter Amanda; great-grandson Christopher; brother Bob; sister Rita; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Deerfield Lutheran Church. Visitation will begin at 9 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Deerfield Lutheran Church steeple fund.
