MYSURU, INDIA (April 26, 2025) – JSS Science and Technology University (JSS STU) held its third annual “Young Alumni Meet” and inaugurated a new “Soft Skill Club,” bringing together students, faculty, and alumni for career advice and skill-building. The event featured prominent speakers from JP Morgan Chase & Co. and Cognizant, who stressed the importance of adaptability, problem-solving skills, and soft skills in today’s evolving job market.
Kewal Nadgir of JP Morgan Chase emphasized the need for continuous learning in the age of artificial intelligence, advising students to use AI as a tool rather than allowing it to replace their own critical thinking. He encouraged students to seek out real-world experience and embrace calculated risks.
Sudarshini Puttappa of Cognizant highlighted the crucial role of soft skills in career advancement. The newly launched Soft Skill Club aims to address this need by providing workshops, seminars, and guest lectures to enhance students’ communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Vice-Chancellor A.N. Santosh Kumar noted the event’s growing success, with attendance doubling this year. He expressed satisfaction with the program’s expanding impact on student development.
