Thu Apr 24 15:11:26 UTC 2025: ## Former MP Condemns Andhra Pradesh NDA Government’s First Year in Power

**TIRUPATI, Andhra Pradesh –** A year after the NDA alliance assumed power in Andhra Pradesh, former CPI(M) MP P. Madhu has sharply criticized the government’s performance, labeling it “disastrous.” Addressing the media on Thursday alongside party leaders Kandharapu Murali and Vandavasi Nagaraju, Mr. Madhu accused the government of widespread corruption, nepotism, and neglect of the poor.

He claimed that the government has failed to fulfill its pre-election promises and is applying different standards to its own people and others. Mr. Madhu further alleged that corruption in sectors like land, sand, mines, and power, prevalent under the previous YSRCP government, persists under the current administration.

The former MP also criticized the government’s focus on Polavaram and Amaravati, claiming that the rest of the state, particularly the backward Rayalaseema and Uttarandhra regions, have been ignored. He pointed to the lack of review meetings for these regions as evidence of bias. He described the power sector as a “tragedy,” alleging it’s been dominated by private corporations despite the change in government. The voters, he said, had placed their hope in the NDA, but their expectations have been betrayed.
