Tue Apr 22 15:59:50 UTC 2025: ## Five Injured in Tiruchendur Group Clash Following Road Accident
**TIRUCHENDUR, April 22, 2025** – A clash between two groups in Tiruchendur on Monday left five people injured. The incident stemmed from a minor traffic accident on Sunday involving a motorcycle and a car.
Police reports indicate that a gas cylinder deliveryman, Kannan, accidentally struck Jebaraj’s car. Jebaraj subsequently assaulted Kannan. In retaliation, Kannan and his friends attacked Jebaraj, inflicting serious injuries. Jebaraj’s son, Navin, and his associates then retaliated, resulting in further injuries.
A total of 13 individuals are implicated and have been detained by Tiruchendur Taluk police following complaints filed by both sides. All injured parties were admitted to local hospitals. The investigation is ongoing.
