**Hyderabad, India** – The CSIR-National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI) announced three major science projects aimed at boosting India’s renewable energy resources. These initiatives, revealed at a two-day startup conclave, include research into geothermal energy systems, hazard mapping of the Himalayas, and a geophysical study of the Ladakh region. The projects aim to foster collaboration between industry and academia, with approximately 70 startups participating in the conclave.

The event also saw the signing of three significant Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs). One agreement between Atal Incubation Centre (AIC-CCMB) and CAiRL will leverage AI to bridge the gap between research institutes and startups. Another partnership between AIC-CCMB and a California-based organization will facilitate the creation of a pipeline of startups for launch in both India and California. Finally, CSIR-NGRI and the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited signed an MoU for seismic studies at a Gorakhpur site. A further MoU was signed between CSIR-IICT and ARK BioEnergy Private Limited for the establishment of a CBG plant. These collaborations highlight India’s commitment to technological innovation and renewable energy development.
