**Chennai, April 20, 2025** – Metro Rail construction on Rajiv Gandhi Salai is causing significant traffic congestion at SRP Tools Junction in Taramani, Chennai. The closure of a traffic signal due to the ongoing work forces vehicles to take lengthy detours, leading to significant delays. Vehicles traveling from Tidel Park Junction towards Velachery are now required to proceed to YMCA, perform a U-turn, and then access Taramani Link Road. While traffic proceeding towards Rajiv Gandhi Salai from Taramani Link Road is unaffected, the signal closure at SRP Tools Junction is causing major bottlenecks for vehicles on Rajiv Gandhi Salai itself.
