**Mumbai, April 16** – Indian fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar, currently playing for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in IPL 2025, has revealed the secrets to his impressive fitness at age 35. In a recent interview on The Ranveer Show podcast, Kumar shared details of his strict vegetarian diet and the significant changes he made to maintain peak physical condition.

Kumar attributed much of his success to a dietitian-recommended meal plan followed for the past three to four years. This plan involved eliminating several food groups, including dairy and gluten, to address gut health issues. He also initially cut out tea and coffee, though he now allows himself a rare milk coffee once a week. Legumes (dal) were also initially off-limits due to bloating concerns. While he has occasionally reintroduced some of these foods when eating out, he remains largely committed to his strict diet.

Interestingly, Kumar briefly experimented with adding eggs to his diet to boost protein intake but ultimately abandoned them due to a dislike for the taste. He now relies on alternative protein sources like whey protein, paneer, tofu, and edamame. The lifelong vegetarian emphasized his commitment to a plant-based diet, highlighting the effectiveness of his tailored approach to maintaining his fitness and agility.
