**Salem, Tamil Nadu –** Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president Nainar Nagenthran expressed strong confidence in the upcoming elections, predicting a victory for the BJP-AIADMK alliance in Tamil Nadu. Speaking at a BJP rally on Saturday, Mr. Nagenthran described the alliance as a “strong and formidable mega-alliance,” dismissing criticism of it as opportunistic. He countered that the DMK alliance was the truly opportunistic one, asserting the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) held an honest approach.
Mr. Nagenthran cautioned BJP cadre to exercise caution on social media, advising them to avoid posts that could damage the alliance, given the DMK’s control over the police. He emphasized that seat allocation would be determined by Union Minister Amit Shah and AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami, urging party members to follow the high command’s instructions.
The BJP leader criticized Chief Minister M.K. Stalin for allegedly neglecting state autonomy during the DMK’s 18 years in the Union government, suggesting the party’s current focus on resolutions in the State Assembly was a mere diversionary tactic.
