**CHENNAI, April 18** – The highly anticipated trailer for director Karthik Subbaraj’s action film, “Retro,” starring Suriya and Pooja Hegde, was unveiled today at a grand event in Chennai’s Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium. The trailer, reportedly edited by acclaimed Malayalam director Alphonse Puthren, promises a significantly more intense action spectacle than the previously released teaser.
The trailer showcases Suriya’s character, Paari, initially vowing to renounce violence to his love interest, played by Pooja Hegde. However, a pivotal shift sees Paari breaking his promise, leading to their separation and a transformation of both characters. Hegde’s character seemingly embraces a peaceful path, while Paari descends into a more ruthless persona, engaging in intense battles with a group of hardened criminals.
