**Kozhikode, Kerala – April 19, 2025** – A 20-year-old engineering student from the National Institute of Technology-Calicut (NIT-C) tragically drowned at Pathankayam waterfalls in Kozhikode district on Friday. Revanth, a native of Andhra Pradesh, was part of a group of six students visiting the eco-tourism spot when the incident occurred around 4 p.m.
Despite being pulled from the water by a friend, Revanth succumbed to his injuries while en route to a hospital in Mukkom. Local residents reported that the students had disregarded warning signs and entered a hazardous area of the falls. Police are investigating the incident.
