**Phoenix, AZ** – Arizona State University’s baseball team secured a much-needed 10-4 victory over Texas Tech on Thursday night, marking a crucial win in their push for a postseason berth. The Sun Devils, who recently endured a slump that saw them fall from the national rankings, showcased a strong offensive and pitching performance to improve their record to 24-14 overall and 10-6 in the Big 12, tying them with Arizona for fifth place.

Junior left-hander Ben Jacobs led the pitching charge, striking out a career-high 13 batters in six innings, allowing only three earned runs. His performance was complemented by strong relief pitching from Will Koger and Cole Carlon, who earned the save, extending his scoreless innings streak to 13 ⅓.

Offensively, the Sun Devils were fueled by a stellar performance from junior centerfielder Isaiah Jackson, who went 3-for-4 with a three-run homer and a go-ahead single in the seventh inning. He was supported by a strong showing from the transfer portal duo of Matt King and Kyle Walker, who continued their hot streaks at the plate. King hit a two-run homer and finished 3-for-4, while Walker extended his on-base streak to 27 games.

Head coach Willie Bloomquist praised his team’s performance, highlighting Jackson’s exceptional contribution and the continued success of King and Walker. Bloomquist also addressed recent online harassment targeting his players, condemning the actions and urging those responsible to direct their anger towards him instead.

The win marks a positive step for the Sun Devils as they enter the final month of the regular season, aiming to end their three-year postseason drought. The team will continue its homestand against Texas Tech in a three-game series.
