**New Delhi, April 17, 2025** – The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted searches Thursday at the residence of former AAP MLA Durgesh Pathak in connection with alleged violations of foreign funding regulations. The agency has registered a case against Pathak for purported violations of the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA).

AAP MP Sanjay Singh condemned the raids, accusing the ruling BJP government of attempting to undermine the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Singh, in a post on X (formerly Twitter), alleged that the BJP was resorting to “dirty tricks” and that the timing of the raids, following Pathak’s appointment as Gujarat co-incharge, indicated an attempt to intimidate him. He further suggested that the BJP’s actions stemmed from their weakening position in Gujarat.
