**Vadodara, Gujarat, April 15, 2025** – A 26-year-old man from Vadodara, Gujarat, who allegedly issued a death threat against Bollywood actor Salman Khan, has been identified and deemed mentally unstable by police. The threat, delivered via a WhatsApp message to the Mumbai Traffic Police helpline on Sunday, April 13th, involved a threat to bomb Mr. Khan’s car and assault him at his residence.
Following an investigation, Mumbai police traced the message to the man’s village in Waghodia taluka. A joint team of Mumbai and Waghodia police visited his home on Monday, confirming his mental instability and ongoing treatment. While a notice to appear before Mumbai police has been issued, no arrest was made.
This incident follows a previous shooting incident outside Mr. Khan’s residence in April 2024 and known threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, prompting the actor to receive Y-Plus security. The increased security measures surrounding Mr. Khan remain in place.
