**Athens, GA** – The University of Georgia had a mixed day on the diamond, with both baseball and softball teams suffering losses. The No. 7 ranked Georgia Bulldogs baseball team fell to the top-ranked Arkansas Razorbacks 13-3 in a sellout game at Foley Field. Despite a solid pitching performance from Brian Curley (5 innings, 5 strikeouts, 0 walks), Coach Wes Johnson highlighted the team’s inability to capitalize on scoring opportunities as the deciding factor. The series continues Saturday.

Meanwhile, the No. 18 ranked Georgia softball team lost a close contest to Auburn, 11-10, in the series opener. The Bulldogs now sit at 26-14 overall and 4-11 in SEC play. This series also continues on Saturday.

Despite the losses, Coach Johnson expressed confidence in his baseball team’s ability to bounce back. He praised their work ethic and veteran leadership.
