**Baku, Azerbaijan –** The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is bringing its premier mixed martial arts event to Baku, Azerbaijan for the first time ever. The highly anticipated UFC FIGHT NIGHT: HILL vs ROUNDTREE JR will take place on Saturday, June 21st at the Baku Crystal Hall.

The event was announced following a partnership signing ceremony in Miami between UFC President and CEO Dana White, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov, and representatives from the Baku City Circuit Operations Company. The main event will feature a clash between former UFC light heavyweight champion Jamahal Hill and Khalil Rountree Jr.

“Azerbaijan and the city of Baku have an incredible history of hosting massive global sporting events,” said White, highlighting the country’s growing reputation as a sports hub. Minister Gayibov echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the event’s significance in showcasing Azerbaijan’s commitment to international sports development. Maqsud Farzullaev, General Director of the Baku City Circuit Operations Company, added that the UFC event further strengthens Baku’s position as a premier destination for major international sporting events.

The fight card boasts a number of other notable matchups, including the return of Kyoji Horiguchi aiming for a UFC championship, and a heavyweight showdown between Curtis Blaydes and Rizvan Kuniev. The event will also showcase the rising talent of Azerbaijani UFC fighters.

Tickets go on sale April 25th via iTicket, with early access for Fight Club members and those who registered their interest.
