**Ranchi, Jharkhand –** Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren declared on Sunday that the state is in the final stages of its battle against Naxalites, following the death of a Jharkhand Jaguar jawan, Sunil Dhan, in an IED blast. Dhan was killed and CRPF Jawan Vishnu Saini critically injured in an ambush in West Singhbhum district on Saturday. Both were airlifted to Ranchi, but Dhan succumbed to his injuries.
Mr. Soren and Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar paid their respects at a wreath-laying ceremony in Ranchi, honoring Dhan’s sacrifice. The Chief Minister emphasized that the jawan’s death would not be in vain and vowed to continue operations until the Naxal threat is completely eliminated. He acknowledged the losses suffered by security forces during the ongoing campaign.
Governor Gangwar expressed sorrow over the incident, assuring that the state government is actively working to minimize such occurrences and would support Dhan’s family. Police reports indicate that Saini remains in critical condition. The Chief Minister’s declaration marks a significant statement on the ongoing anti-Naxal operations in Jharkhand.
