Sat Apr 12 10:50:00 UTC 2025: ## Lucknow Super Giants Post Mammoth Total, Rathi’s Controversial Celebration Returns

**Kolkata, India** – The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) thrashed the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Tuesday, posting a staggering 238/3 – their second-highest ever IPL total – at the Eden Gardens. This dominant display was fueled by explosive batting performances from Nicholas Pooran (87* off 36) and Mitchell Marsh (81 off 48), who powered LSG to victory.

Pooran’s innings was particularly noteworthy, including eight towering sixes, and a personal redemption against KKR’s Sunil Narine, whom he previously struggled against. Marsh also contributed significantly, reaching his fourth fifty in five innings this season. Aiden Markram added a quickfire 47 before being dismissed.

The KKR bowling attack had a disastrous day, failing to contain the LSG onslaught. Spencer Johnson (15.33 runs per over), Harshit Rana (12.75), Sunil Narine (12.66), and Andre Russell (16) all conceded runs at a high rate.

However, the match wasn’t without controversy. LSG spinner Digvesh Rathi, previously fined by the BCCI for a unique wicket celebration, repeated the offense. After dismissing Narine, Rathi once again performed his signature “writing on the floor” celebration, a variation of his notebook-inspired routine. This is his second fine for this celebration. The match officials are expected to address this incident further.
