**Srinagar, April 12, 2025:** A 5.8 magnitude earthquake, originating in Pakistan, shook Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday afternoon. Tremors were felt across the valley, but thankfully, there have been no reports of casualties or property damage, according to officials.
The quake struck at approximately 1 p.m. with its epicenter located at 33.63 degrees North latitude and 72.46 degrees East longitude, at a depth of 10 kilometers. While the earthquake caused alarm, initial assessments indicate no significant impact.
