**NOIDA, Uttar Pradesh –** A 38-year-old software engineer, Umesh Kumar, was found dead in a Noida hotel room on Friday morning under suspicious circumstances. Police are investigating the death as a possible suicide.
Kumar, a resident of Hathras, Uttar Pradesh, had checked into the Wamson Hotel in Sector 27 with a female friend from Mathura on Thursday. According to the woman, she discovered Kumar hanging from a ceiling fan upon exiting the washroom. Hotel staff were alerted by her screams. A dog was also present in the room. Police reports indicate a prior argument may have occurred between the couple.
While no suicide note was found, preliminary investigations reveal Kumar was married and separated from his wife due to marital disputes, with divorce proceedings underway.
