**Guwahati, Assam:** The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) today declared the results of the HSLC (Class 10) examinations, revealing a 63.98% overall pass rate. Boys achieved a higher pass percentage of 67.59%, compared to 61.09% for girls.
Amishi Saikia of Pragya Academy Senior Secondary School, Jorhat, secured the top rank with 98.50% (591 marks). Saptarswa Bordoloi and Anirban Borgohain followed closely, achieving second and third ranks respectively.
Sivasagar district emerged as the top performer with an impressive 85.55% pass rate, followed by Dibrugarh (81.10%), Dhemaji (80.64%), Jorhat (79.61%), and Nalbari (78.40%).
A total of 4,22,737 students appeared for the exam out of 4,29,449 registered candidates. 6,712 students were absent, while the results of 22 candidates were withheld and 101 were expelled.
