Fri Apr 11 14:26:10 UTC 2025: ## Shivamogga Police Arrest 13 in Uttaradi Mutt Robbery
**SHIVAMOGGA, April 11, 2025** – Thirteen individuals have been arrested by the Shivamogga police in connection with a robbery at the Uttaradi Mutt in Mahishi village, Tirthahalli taluk. The robbery, which occurred on April 5th, involved a group of fifteen who assaulted the priest and other staff before making off with ₹50,000 in cash and other valuables, including mobile phones, a laptop, and a digital video recorder. CCTV cameras were also damaged.
Superintendent of Police G.K. Mithun Kumar stated in a press conference that the accused believed a large sum of money was kept at the mutt. The police have recovered a tempo traveller, a car, and weapons used in the crime. One suspect, Srinivas, was apprehended after a shootout near Shikaripur on April 10th, following an attempt to evade arrest and assault a police officer. The remaining two suspects are still at large. The investigation is ongoing.
