**Chennai, India** – MS Dhoni’s return as Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain after a 682-day hiatus got off to a shaky start as CSK lost two early wickets against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in their IPL 2025 match at the Chepauk Stadium on Friday. Winning the toss, KKR elected to bowl first.
CSK openers Devon Conway and Rachin Ravindra fell inside the powerplay, leaving the team at 50/2 after 8 overs. Conway was dismissed by KKR spinner Moeen Ali.
