HYDERABAD, INDIA – The Telangana state government has announced the dates for the upcoming Telangana Teacher Eligibility Test (TET). The exam will be held between June 15th and June 30th, 2024, according to the Department of Education. This announcement follows the recent release of notifications for the District Selection Committee (DSC) recruitment process. The government plans to fill approximately 6,000 teacher vacancies this year, adding to the 11,000 positions filled in the 2024 DSC. The state is actively addressing teacher vacancies across the state.
However, some uncertainties remain before the DSC notification is released. The government is yet to decide on teacher rationalization and the allocation of SC quotas, pending the report of a single-member committee. This is the third TET and second DSC exam conducted by the Telangana government in recent years, demonstrating a commitment to filling teacher vacancies.
