**COIMBATORE, April 10, 2025** – Ten primary health centers (PHCs) in Coimbatore district received significant upgrades thanks to a Bosch CSR Initiative, culminating in a handover ceremony held today at The Grant Regent. The project focused on enhancing healthcare infrastructure and equipping the centers with modern medical facilities to improve services in rural and semi-urban areas.
The upgraded PHCs are located across several blocks within the district: Valparai, Sholayar Nagar, Periyapothu, and Topslip (Anaimalai Block); Negamam (Pollachi North Block); Anaikatti (Periyanaickenpalayam Block); and Karamadai, Sirumugai, Vellinagadu, and Seeliyur (Karamadai Block). Improvements included infrastructure upgrades and the installation of advanced medical equipment.
The ceremony was attended by a range of dignitaries, including District Collector Pavankumar G Giriyappanavar, District Health Officer Dr. P. Balusamy, Bosch Global Software Technologies Center Head Naved Narayan, and CSR Head Shilpa Deodhar. A.S. Sankaranarayanan, Founder & Managing Trustee of NMCT, also participated. Block Medical Officers, Medical Officers, key stakeholders, and government officials were also present. The initiative aims to significantly strengthen primary healthcare services in these regions.
