**Mangaluru, April 8, 2025** – N. Shreevidya, a student of Government Pre-University College, Kaniyuru, has achieved remarkable success in the recently declared II PUC examinations. She secured fifth rank in the science stream across the state, scoring an impressive 595 marks. This achievement is particularly noteworthy as she is the only student from a government college among the 24 students who shared the fifth rank.

Shreevidya’s academic excellence began early. She previously ranked second among government school students in the district’s Class 10 (SSLC) examination, scoring 616 marks. Attending government schools throughout her education, she now aims to pursue a B.Sc. at St. Philomena College in Puttur and eventually enter civil service.

Her principal, K. Jayanthi, attributes her success to hard work and dedication, noting the college’s high overall pass rates: 100% in science, 96% in commerce, and 89% in arts. Shreevidya’s parents, A.K. Narayana Bhat (a headmaster) and Shailashree, are proud of her accomplishment.
