**New Delhi, April 8, 2025** – The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested three railway officials on charges of bribery. The accused include a Senior Divisional Electrical Engineer (SDEE), Saket Chand Srivastava; a Senior Section Engineer (SSE), Tapendra Singh Gurjar; and Gautam Chawla of Vatsal Infotech Private Limited. The arrests follow an investigation into an alleged ₹7 lakh bribe offered to favor a private company.
Subsequent searches of the accused’s premises yielded approximately ₹63.85 lakh in cash and gold valued at nearly ₹3.46 crore. Others named in the case include Arun Jindal, SSE (In-Charge of Tender Section); Vatsal Infotech; Shivmani Enterprises and its director Saket Kumar; and several unidentified individuals. The investigation is ongoing.
